Opening,
viewing and printing digital documents from British Columbia
How
do I open the digital image file
I received?
We provide all of our British Columbia digital documents to you in a universal format that
is easily accessible by anyone on the Internet. TIFF (Tagged Image File
Format) is a compressed format commonly used to store images of scanned
documents. As a result, there are many ways to view TIF images. Here are
the ones we recommend according to your computer's operating system:
| Windows
95, 98, 2000 and NT |
|
Kodak
Imaging for Windows is included with the Windows 98, 2000
and NT operating systems. It is also included in later versions
of Windows 95. If you use Internet Explorer, then Imaging for Windows
is used to view the TIFF images and is fully integrated with your
browser. You don't need to do anything special to make it work.
An
alternative for those without Imaging for Windows software
is IrfanView32,
a freeware image viewer by Irfan Skiljan. Download IrfanView by clicking the link above.
|
| Macintosh
Users |
|
Platogrande
Software's ImageViewer
for the Mac is a shareware product, and is useful for organizing
and viewing most image formats, including the TIF/TIFF file. If you
are purchasing multiple images through VitalChek Payment Services, ImageViewer for
the Mac will be useful since it has enhanced features for organizing
and filing your images. |
I double-click a digtal image and receive an error. How do I open the file?
This problem occurs when Microsoft Windows does not know which program to use, to open the digital image. Perform the following steps to open the image using Kodak Imaging for Windows program.
| 1. |
Open Kodak Imaging application (Start menu > Accessories menu > Imaging program). Kodak Imaging for Windows will start. |
| 2. |
Select File menu > Open. The Open dialog appears. |
| 3. |
Navigate to the saved TIFF image, select it, and then click Open. The image should be displayed. You may now view and print the image. |

Order
Placement & Fulfillment
How many orders can I place through
VitalChek Payment Services at one time?
The number of items you can purchase through VitalChek Payment Services depends upon
the company or organization supplying the product you're purchasing. There
can be several types of quantity limits on your purchase:
| |
- Quantity
if individual item you're ordering
- Number
of different items within each shopping basket
- Total
number of items in your shopping basket |
Again, the company
supplying the product you're purchasing determines these limits.
How long will it take for
my order to be delivered?
VitalChek Payment Services is the eCommerce gateway for your purchase transaction, and
the agency from where you made your purchase is responsible for the fulfillment
of your order. The time required for an agency to find, reproduce, and
ship your document varies from state to state. During peak workload the
turn around time may stretch to several days or weeks. Since electronic
delivery via email is the method of delivery, receipt is generally quicker
than traditional forms of shipment.
